SPA WALL OF FAME
"Official Trainers of Brian Butch, Former Denver Nugget."
I have trained all over the world over my professional career, and there is one place that I come back to and that is Sports Performance Advancement. The reason that I come back is because it just doesn’t focus on one area of training. Every aspect is covered from your conditioning to your ploymetrics and of course your weight training. I would not go if I did not see results. SPA is a huge part of my professional career and a main factor in me making an NBA team. Even now rehabbing my knee they know exactly what to do to make sure that I am doing what I need to do to get back to the NBA level. I wouldn’t just say this for anybody I believe in what they are doing and know how it has helped me over the years. I wish that I would have known about SPA in High School it would have made a huge impact on my freshman year instead I had to red-shirt. I think the importance of all 3 of the areas that SPA covers is huge and it all plays into the success that you will have in the sports that you play.
Brian Butch – NBA Player (Denver Nuggets)
Here Brian Butch works on some rehab and stabilization for his knee as part of his warm-up |
Doing lunges can be a good workout but try adding a 20lb. |
Along with doing strength exercises Brian needs to add some stability strength for his knee, not only is he working on balance and strength with his lower body but doing a row with his upper body adds another level of difficulty. |
Doing a manual leg extension is an extremely difficult exercise because the trainer can apply continued resistance through the whole range of motion, here Brian works with his trainer, Amber. |
